# Slit-scan

Visual element sample: Motion › Video effects
Source: https://visual-gallery.asami.tokyo/en/styles/motion-effect-slit-scan

Each column of the frame shows a slightly different moment, so moving things stretch and bend.

## Visual traits
- Each vertical strip of the image comes from a slightly later moment than the strip to its left
- Still parts look normal; moving objects stretch, bend or repeat across the frame
- The distortion follows a clear direction (left to right)
- Colors and textures stay intact; only shapes are warped in time

## Prompt
Slit-scan effect: each vertical strip of the image from a slightly later moment than the strip to its left, still parts looking normal while a moving object stretches and bends across the frame from left to right, colors intact.

## Avoid
motion blur, glitch blocks, RGB split, double exposure
